Hartwall Arena has been the home ice for the Helsinki-based hockey club Jokerit since 1997, and this is the place where they celebrated the Finnish championship in the spring of 2002. In addition to their game, the victorious club is famous for its passionate fans and the development of junior star players. From the season 2014-2015 onwards, Jokerit will play in KHL, the Kontinental Hockey League.
